This is a must do on our calendar. Tanuki’s restaurant on Queen Street Auckland (above the town hall) is authentic Japanese and we have booked the private function room from 7:30pm on Saturday 27th Feb 2010. The set menu is $30 per person and it is a BYO (or buy your drinks there). Christine Chan will contact you all for your dinner confirmations for this event. Partners are most welcome.

Japan Day 2010 –

Held at the ASB Showground’s on Sunday 28th Feb 2010 starting 3:00pm. Unfortunately there is limited space for this demonstration as it is to be held on a smaller stage. For those who have been invited to participate please be there by 2:00pm at the latest. See Rod for further details

Shihan will hold an Instructor’s Training session on Saturday 27th Feb 2010 at YMCA Mt Albert commencing at 1:00pm to 3:00pm. All instructors are expected to attend to ensure renewal of their instructors certificate for 2010.

Honbu 2010

Friday, January 1st, 2010

Dear Hokushin members,

Happy New year – year of the Tiger! Training has resumed for 2010 at our new home at the Gilles St Primary School in the City and we look forward to seeing you there.

This year we are offering new payment options for our students:

You can still pay per lesson at the rate of $10 per lesson or if you are a regular student you can pay on a monthly basis. This will being next month (February)

If you train once a week the cost for the month is $30.
If you train twice a week the cost for the month is $50.

These payments are for a calendar month (i.e. $30 will cover you for 1 lesson per week throughout February, but it is up to you to make the most of this).

We have also begun to plan out our itinerary for the 2010 Japan trip and it looks like another exciting visit and an experience not to be missed. More details will be provided soon but it looks like 10 days at the beginning of November.

Best wishes!
